Why Eugene Dental Sleep Center
Dr. Donald Dexter, Diplomate, American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, is the most experienced local provider of Oral Appliance Therapy (OAT) for patients who would benefit from this treatment. Since 2012, he has extensively studied and practiced dental sleep medicine and is dedicated to addressing serious sleep-related conditions that are often undiagnosed or untreated. We Bill Medical Insurance
Oral Appliance Therapy (also known as OAT), billed under HCPCS codes E0486 or K1027, is a custom-fabricated mandibular advancement device (MAD) used in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). This therapy is considered Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and is billed to the patient’s medical insurance. Eugene Dental Sleep Center is in network with multiple medical insurances: Aetna, Cigna Healthcare, Moda Health, TRICARE West, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon, and other participating Regence plans. We are a Medicare/Medicaid opt-out provider, however, reduced rates are available for Medicare/Medicaid patients.
Coordination of Care
Of utmost importance is a coordination of care between all providers for positive treatment outcomes. This is established and maintained through communication with all referring doctors.
